Are you a CNC Punch, Laser or Machine Operator looking for a stable Monday to Thursday role (No Fridays) in a leading Manufacturing business known for their great working environment offering long weekends every week? This is a site-based role within a sheet metal and fabrication manufacturing environment, focused on setting and operating CNC production machinery used to cut, punch, form and process metal components. This role would suit someone with previous machine setting or operating experience from a manufacturing or production environment who is confident following drawings, job sheets and production instructions.

The Role:

  • Set and operate machine centre equipment within a manufacturing environment
  • Work on production machinery used to manufacture accurate metal components
  • Prepare machinery for production runs and changeovers
  • Work from engineering drawings, job sheets and production instructions
  • Load programmes, set machine parameters or adjust tooling where required
  • Check first-off and completed parts for accuracy and quality
  • Use measuring equipment to check components against specification
  • Identify and report machine, tooling or quality issues
  • Monday to Thursday only, 9 hours 45 minutes per day

The Person:

  • Machine Centre Operator, Machine Centre Setter, Machine Setter Operator, Production Machine Operator, CNC Machine Operator, Fabrication Machine Operator or similar
  • Previous machine operating or setting experience
  • Background in manufacturing, production, fabrication, engineering or industrial environments
  • Able to work from drawings, job sheets or production instructions
  • Able to carry out basic measurement and quality checks
  • Reliable, hands-on and quality-focused
  • Comfortable working in a busy production environment
  • Candidates able to set and operate multiple types of equipment may be considered for an increased hourly rate
