Are you a Field Service Engineer with hands-on HPLC / LC servicing experience looking to join a growing specialist within analytical instrumentation known for their great working environment and employee benefits? This is an excellent opportunity to join a small and expanding technical service team supporting customers across pharmaceutical, scientific and analytical laboratory environments. You will work autonomously across a varied portfolio of chromatography and laboratory instrumentation, with opportunities to develop your knowledge across GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, spectroscopy and wider analytical technologies.

This is a field-based role covering primarily the Midlands / North of England, alongside wider UK travel when required. Overnight stays will form part of the position, with occasional European travel.

The Role:

  • Service, maintain, fault-find and repair HPLC, LC and UHPLC systems
  • Install, commission and calibrate analytical laboratory instrumentation
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Support chromatography equipment including GC, LC-MS and GC-MS
  • Work with spectroscopy equipment, laboratory gas generators and wider analytical instrumentation
  • Provide technical support and equipment training to customers
  • Work autonomously across a regional field-service territory
  • Complete service reports and technical documentation
  • Regular UK travel, overnight stays and occasional European travel

The Person:

  • Hands-on HPLC, LC or UHPLC service, maintenance and fault-finding experience
  • Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or analytical instrumentation background
  • Experience with Waters, Agilent, Shimadzu, Thermo Fisher, PerkinElmer or similar equipment advantageous
  • GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, spectroscopy or laboratory gas-generator experience advantageous
  • Comfortable working independently and travelling regularly
  • Full UK driving licence
