You will work closely with CAD Detailers, Project Engineers, Structural Engineers and Design teams, giving you a broader understanding of the full project journey from enquiry and technical review through to quotation, handover and delivery. The team is being built around a small, self-sufficient structure, giving you genuine visibility, responsibility and access to senior decision-makers. You will also be given a clear three-year progression plan, mapping out where you are now, where you want to get to in terms of responsibility and earnings, and the milestones needed to achieve it.
The Role
- Produce take-offs, quotations and technical schedules from construction drawings and specifications
- Review client enquiries, drawings and project information to prepare accurate pricing
- Work closely with CAD Detailers, Project Engineers, Structural Engineers and internal technical teams
- Clarify scope, variations and technical requirements with contractors and internal teams
- Prepare handover information for project delivery teams
- Support live project changes, variations and commercial updates where required
- Maintain accurate estimating records, pricing information and project pipeline data
The Person
- Estimator, Design Engineer, CAD Detailer, Technical Designer or similar
- Confident reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Interested in progression, commercial involvement and broader project exposure
- Comfortable working in a technical office-based role with autonomy and responsibility.
