Are you passionate about making a tangible impact locally and changing the lives of vulnerable young people? Roundabout is looking for a Head of Finance to join us in our mission to support homeless young people aged 16-25 in Sheffield.
About The Role
The Head of Finance is responsible for the effective management of the Finance Team and the organisation’s Finance function. Reporting to the CEO, the role leads the Finance function, ensuring effective financial controls, timely reporting, cash‑flow oversight, budgeting, and support to enable sustainable growth.
This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving charity that offers a diverse range of services to support vulnerable young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them move toward independence.
The role has direct line responsibility for the Finance Team Manager and Payroll Manager and overall responsibility for a team of 4 staff. The role ensures that robust financial controls, policies and procedures are in place and followed, and that all statutory, audit and financial compliance requirements are met.
The postholder will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, payroll and operational finance processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to support the organisation.
The role is based at Roundabout’s office in Sheffield city centre with some hybrid working, if agreed, and may require travel to other Roundabout services across Sheffield & Rotherham from time to time.
