Are you an experienced PMO Manager who enjoys bringing structure, visibility and accountability to complex delivery environments? We’re working with a growing specialist managed IT services and cybersecurity business supporting customers across highly regulated sectors, including financial services, policing and energy. What you'll be doing:
- You’ll lead the PMO function and work closely with Delivery leadership, Project Managers and wider business stakeholders to improve visibility, consistency and delivery performance.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the PMO function, including line management of Project Managers
- Establishing and improving PMO frameworks, standards, governance and ways of working
- Providing portfolio-level visibility across performance, risks, dependencies and resources
- Developing KPIs, dashboards and management reporting to support better decision-making

- Working closely with Delivery, Technology, Operations and Commercial teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, efficiency and customer outcomes
- Acting as a trusted partner and escalation point for delivery-related matters
What we're looking for:
We're looking for an experienced PMO professional who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. You'll ideally bring:
- Proven experience leading or managing a PMO / Project Management Office
- Experience managing and developing Project Managers
- Strong portfolio governance, reporting and performance management experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Experience with resource planning, capacity management and delivery metrics
- A structured, analytical approach with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights
- A track record of driving continuous improvement and organisational change
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- A recognised PMO, Project, Programme or Portfolio Management qualification such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, MSP, MoP, P3O or PMP would be advantageous.
- Experience within IT services, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure or another complex/regulated delivery environment would be particularly relevant.
Why this role?
This isn't a PMO role focused purely on governance and reporting. You'll have the opportunity to build and shape the PMO function, introduce better ways of working and directly influence the maturity and effectiveness of the wider Delivery organisation. You'll be joining at an important stage of growth, with the opportunity to create the frameworks, insight and structure needed to support a growing project portfolio and delivery team.
