The Bermuda High School for Girls (BHS) is Bermuda’s leading school dedicated to the education of girls aged 4 to 18, with a co‑educational pathway in Years 12 and 13. Responsibilities and Qualifications
- The Head will bring at least ten years of experience in senior roles within a high‑performing independent or international school.
- An experienced teacher, they will hold an appropriate qualification such as a Bachelor of Education, with a master’s degree or other advanced training preferred.
- They will be familiar with more than one internationally recognised curriculum, ideally including either the British curriculum or the International Baccalaureate.
- The Head will demonstrate a strong track record of mentoring and developing staff, supporting students and fostering a dynamic and healthy school community.
- The successful candidate will be a strategic, forward‑thinking leader with experience in managing change in a diverse environment, alongside exposure to strategic planning and fundraising.
- Above all, the Head of School will be a person of exceptional integrity and character, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- They will thrive in a collegial and caring culture, working collaboratively and building meaningful relationships across the school community.
- The Head of School will share the values that define BHS and will earn the trust and respect of all members of the community through an open, transparent, warm and engaging style.
New Head of School is expected to assume the position in July 2027.
