An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Maintenance Manager to join a highly respected Asset Management business with a growing portfolio of Residential build to rent sites across London and the home counties. An operational lead role for the Works Department, responsible for the effective control, delivery, and quality of all maintenance works across the portfolio. The role requires strong technical judgement, clear decision making, and confident ownership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the quality-control of day-to-day maintenance issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Taking ownership of complex and specialist maintenance matters, coordinating external contractors, consultants, and third parties as required.
- Diagnosing mid-level and semi-complex maintenance issues and working collaboratively with contractors to agree appropriate solutions.
- Managing a reliable network of contractors and suppliers, monitoring quality, costs, and performance, ensuring value for money and consistent standards of workmanship.
- Working closely with internal teams and communicating clearly and professionally with residents.
- Providing leadership and management oversight to maintenance staff where applicable.

- Achieving a well-controlled, professional, and dependable Works Department.
The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:
- Strong background in residential maintenance or property operations.
- Proven experience managing contractors and external suppliers.
- Sound technical understanding across common building maintenance disciplines.
- Organised, commercially aware, and comfortable taking responsibility.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Must have a clean driver's license.
- Effective communicator and collaborative team member with management capability.
The hours will be: Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
Salary range will be: between £50,000pa to £55,000pa
