An opportunity has arisen for a Residential Surveyor to join our client based in Hertford SG14. As a Residential Surveyor, you will undertake residential property inspections, surveys, and valuations while delivering a consistently high standard of service to our clients. Working closely with our Case Management team, you will be responsible for managing inspections efficiently, producing accurate reports, and ensuring every instruction is completed in line with RICS standards and our company's quality standards. This role is ideal for a surveyor who is technically competent, customer-focused, and committed to delivering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct residential property inspections and valuations in accordance with RICS standards and National Standards.
- Produce accurate, high-quality RICS Home Survey Level 2 and Level 3 reports, together with residential valuation reports.
- Complete survey and valuation reports within agreed turnaround times and service level agreements.
- Capture and present clear, comprehensive photographic evidence in line with company standards.
- Ensure reports are professionally presented, accurate, and consistent with company formatting requirements.
- Liaise effectively with the Case Management team to coordinate appointments, manage workloads, and resolve queries.
- Communicate professionally with clients and other stakeholders, delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the survey process.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all RICS, regulatory, and company quality standards.
- Manage your diary efficiently while ensuring a consistently high standard of work.
- Identify significant defects, assess property condition, undertake residential valuations, and provide clear, practical recommendations within your reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: +5 years
- AssocRICS or MRICS qualified
- RICS Registered Valuer (or eligible to register)
- Experience with HomeBuyer Reports and Red Book valuations
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Digitally confident and open to using new platforms
- Full UK driving licence and willing to travel within your area
Hours and Salary
- Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm
- Salary: between £45,000 and £60,000 per annum (basic)
