Residential Building Surveyor/Project Manager - Billericay, CM12
An great opportunity has arisen for a Residential Building Surveyor to join our client based in both in our office in Billericay, CM12This role would be ideally suited to someone with strong practical experience in a similar role and looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
- Undertaking all aspect of professional building surveyor works including Section 20 contracts in accordance with current legislation
- Completion of Asbestos reports and reviews.
- BCIS rebuilding valuations.
- Implementation of CDM regulations where required.
- Inspection of and advising on Licenses to alter and consents due under the lease terms.
- Acting for Clients on Party Wall matters.
- Writing of schedules of work and defect reports.
- Planned maintenance programming.
- Attend AGMs as necessary
- Reporting to clients' and lessees on active projects and caseload.
- Supporting junior member of staff with Surveying knowledge.
- Using a range of software, including email, spreadsheets and Qube databases, to ensure the efficient organisation of project diaries.
- Producing reports for senior management on current workload and projected fee earning.
The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills
- 5+ years relevant experience
- MRICS qualified preferred but not essential
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent presenting, communication and report writing skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- The ability to manage your workload.
- Negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Good attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- A self-motivated and problem-solving approach to work
The hours will be 9.00am to 5.30pm
Salary range will be £55,000 to £65,000pa
