Position Summary
This position is responsible for welding all products according to MOT and/or B/P specifications.
Position Accountabilities
- Verify raw materials.
- Visually inspect detail parts for damage prior to welding.
- Visually inspect all finished welds for compliance with MOT and/or B/P specifications.
- Verify proper weld rods according to color code.
- Identify and tag rejectable items before submission to Inspection.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of fusion welding experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Technical knowledge of welding skills and measuring equipment required for operations.
- Ability to pass the standard welding qualification test with .030 material thickness.
- Understanding of weld symbols.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Vision: Near 20/20, Far 20/30.
- Color vision: Able to pass pseudochromatic plates (Dvorine, Ishihara, Richmond, Farnsworth lantern, Keystone Orthoscope, Titmus vision tester, Titmus II Vision Tester, Titmus 2 Vision Tester).
