Our client is a leading provider of high-performance surface treatments for the aerospace, defence, and engineering sectors. We are expanding our Exeter facility with a dedicated paint production line and seeking an experienced Paint Production Manager to lead its setup and operation.
Role Overview
This is a pivotal role in shaping a new facility from the ground up. You will oversee the implementation of the new paint production line, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage the full implementation and operation of the paint production line.
- Process Optimisation: Design workflows, optimise layout, and establish best practices.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and manage the paint production team.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance productivity, safety, and quality using lean methodologies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, HSE, and commercial teams.
- Budget & Resource Management: Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing or implementing a paint production line (aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors preferred).
- Strong knowledge of paint application processes, equipment, and regulations.
- Project management and leadership experience.
- Familiarity with quality and health & safety standards.
- Engineering or technical background preferred.
