Procurement Operations Specialist
Cheshire
Up to £36,500 + 4 day week + WFH
RPS are exclusively partnered with global tier 1 aerospace manufacturer who are looking for an experienced Procurement Operations Specialist to join them following a period of high growth.
ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for timely order placement and management of supplier delivery performance in line with business requirements. To deliver against business performance objectives, focused on supplier performance and ensuring delivery from supply base is OTIF. Responsible for releasing of production works orders in line with MPS MRP output.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for ensuring delivery in line with operational performance requirements with an allocated supplier portfolio.
- Prepare and place purchase orders for a allocated supplier portfolio.
- Responsible for analysing MRP output and identifying/tracking where system changes occur that impact supply base, to implement corrective actions and obtain accurate demand signals.
- Responsible for supplier alignment and scheduling in line with MPS.
- Maintain material master supplier data within ERP/MRP.
- Supporting the optimisation of inventory, by deferring early order signals and expediting late order signals, to achieve OTIF.
- Responsible for the adherence and compliance to standard work tools; managing supplier order books, ensuring continuity of supply in line with business needs.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is obtained from the supplier and available in the system, to aid with Material in Forecasting.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and planning skills
- Proactive and ‘can do’ approach
- BSc degree, or equivalent in Business
- Understanding of technical drawings and processes
- Experience in aerospace industry
