CNC Machinist Turning/Milling/Grinding

What You’ll Be Doing as CNC Machinist:

  • Ensuring the smooth, efficient running of CNC machines
  • Producing components that consistently meet strict quality standards
  • Delivering work On Time In Full (OTIF)
  • Carrying out self-inspection and sanctioning of your own work
  • Working across turning, milling, and grinding operations (cell-dependent)
  • Supporting excellent workplace organisation and 5S standards
  • Gaining full cross‑training across all cell disciplines
  • Occasionally assisting with assembly, pinning, or non‑machinery tasks

What We’re Looking for as CNC Machinist:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in CNC turning or milling or grinding
  • Confident using standard measuring equipment
  • Background in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • A reliable, team‑focused attitude with a commitment to quality
  • Comfortable following procedures and working to targets

Desirable:

  • NVQ in Engineering Manufacture (or equivalent) / Advanced Apprenticeship
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above)
  • Computer literacy

Shift Pattern:

  • A Shift:
    • MonThu: 6:00am 1:35pm
    • Fri: 6:00am 12:45pm
  • B Shift:
    • MonThu: 1:25pm 9:05pm
    • Fri: 12:35pm 7:00pm (20% shift premium)
  • Overtime available when required
