We are proud to partner with one of the world's fastest growing vehicle electrification businesses in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer. You'll work in partnership with some of the world's leading OEMs who are integrating this exciting, green technology into their new vehicle programmes.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and working from design specifications through to production hand over
- Completing Thermal Analysis, Loading Calculations, Heat Transfer Analysis, FEA & Stress Analysis
- Liaise with the biggest names in the automotive and off-highway industry to integrate your products seamlessly
- Constantly looking for innovations and ways to improve existing designs as well as coming up with new ideas
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have:
- A degree in, or equivalent knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to generate innovative engineering solutions and worked on NPD (new product development)
- A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles from design through to stress analysis
- Previous experience of working from concept through to completion on complex engineering products
Desirables:
- Any experience of working on rotating parts or understanding of centrifugal forces would be of benefit but not essential
- Experience of working in multi-national development teams would also be of benefit but not essential
