We are proud to partner with one of the world's fastest growing vehicle electrification businesses in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer. You'll have the opportunity to work from conceptual phases through to production handover including prototype build and certification. You'll work in partnership with some of the world's leading OEMs who are integrating this exciting, green technology into their new vehicle programmes.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and working from design specifications through to production handover
  • Completing Thermal Analysis, Loading Calculations, Heat Transfer Analysis, FEA & Stress Analysis
  • Liaising with the biggest names in the automotive and off-highway industry to integrate your products seamlessly
  • Constantly looking for innovations and ways to improve existing designs as well as coming up with new ideas

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

  • A degree in, or equivalent knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to generate innovative engineering solutions and worked on NPD (new product development)
  • A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles from design through to stress analysis
  • Previous experience of working from concept through to completion on complex engineering products

Desirables:

  • Any experience of working on rotating parts or understanding of centrifugal forces would be of benefit but not essential
  • Experience of working in multi-national development teams would also be of benefit but not essential
