What Youll Be Doing as CNC Machinist:
- Ensuring the smooth, efficient running of CNC machines
- Producing components that consistently meet strict quality standards
- Delivering work On Time In Full (OTIF)
- Carrying out self-inspection and sanctioning of your own work
- Working across turning, milling, and grinding operations (cell-dependent)
- Supporting excellent workplace organisation and 5S standards
- Gaining full cross-training across all cell disciplines
- Occasionally assisting with assembly, pinning, or non-machinery tasks
What Were Looking for as CNC Machinist:
- Essential: Previous experience in CNC turning or milling or grinding
- Confident using standard measuring equipment
- Background in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- A reliable, team-focused attitude with a commitment to quality
- Comfortable following procedures and working to targets
- Desirable: NVQ in Engineering Manufacture (or equivalent) / Advanced Apprenticeship
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above)
- Computer literacy
Shift Pattern:
- A Shift: Mon-Thu: 6:00am - 1:35pm, Fri: 6:00am - 12:45pm
- B Shift: Mon-Thu: 1:25pm - 9:05pm, Fri: 12:35pm - 7:00pm (20% shift premium)
- Overtime available when required
