As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, your mission will be to identify, lead, and implement process improvement initiatives across multiple departments. From streamlining operations and reducing waste to enhancing quality and boosting productivity, your work will be central to long-term success. Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
You’ll lead Lean and Six Sigma projects, mentor team members, and drive data-led decision making. Your analytical mindset, hands-on approach, and excellent communication skills will enable you to deliver tangible, lasting improvements.
Key responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer include:
- Leading strategic projects using Lean tools (e.g., Kaizen, VSM, 5S)
- Training and coaching teams to build CI capability across departments
- Analysing KPIs and identifying improvement opportunities using data
- Collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and support teams
- Maintaining process documentation, SOPs, and standard work
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer or similar role
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green Belt or above)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and engage cross-functional teams
- Track record of delivering measurable efficiency and quality improvements
Desirable:
- Black Belt certification
- Experience in elastomer, polymer, or high-precision manufacturing
- Engineering qualifications or equivalent practical experience
