Lead Complex Aerospace & Defence Projects from Concept to Completion
RPS is exclusively recruiting on behalf of BCW Design & Manufacture Ltd – a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing leader – for an experienced Project Manager to deliver high-value defence and aerospace programmes.
BCW Design & Manufacture operates at the forefront of innovation across aerospace, defence, marine, automotive, and other advanced industries. Renowned for delivering complex, high-value projects, the business is in an exciting phase of transformation – investing in a full machinery replacement programme and implementing a cutting-edge Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to achieve world-class production standards.
As Project Manager, you’ll take complete ownership of high-profile aerospace and defence tooling projects, from contract handover to final delivery. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle – ensuring technical, commercial, and delivery milestones are met – while acting as the key point of contact for major OEM customers. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, production, procurement, and quality, ensuring precision, efficiency, and customer satisfaction at every stage.
This is a hands-on leadership role in which your decisions directly impact project success. You’ll manage budgets, track risks, and maintain detailed milestone-based plans, all while working with high-spec manufacturing processes like welding, machining, and assembly. You’ll have the platform to demonstrate your ability to keep complex, multi-stakeholder engineering programmes running smoothly, on time, and within budget.
What we’re looking for:
- Prince2 Practitioner / APM PMQ / PMP certified
- 5+ years’ project management in defence or aerospace manufacturing
- Experience delivering complex engineering projects with welding, machining, and assembly processes
- Strong commercial acumen and cost-control skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and the wider MS Office suite
Desirabale MOD project delivery familiarity, ERP/MES experience, Lean/Six Sigma qualification, or a technical engineering background.
Apply today via RPS – BCW Design & Manufacture’s exclusive recruitment partner – and lead the delivery of cutting-edge aerospace and defence tooling projects from inception to completion.
