RPS Recruitment have exclusively partnered with NMB UK Ltd to appoint a transformational General Manager for their Lincoln site. Are you a results-driven leader with deep expertise in aerospace manufacturing and a proven track record in business turnaround? The Role:

  • Base Salary: Competitive + £25,000 bonus + monthly car allowance
  • Relocation support available | International travel (Asia, EU, US)

NMB UK Ltd, part of the global MinebeaMitsumi Aerospace Group (14 international sites), is a precision engineering manufacturer specialising in high-performance aerospace bearings. Following pandemic-driven disruption and industry-wide supply chain challenges, the Lincoln site is now primed for a turnaround under strong operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and enhance a business turnaround strategy to stabilise and grow a site of 260+ staff
  • Lead full P&L, budgeting, and CAPEX responsibilities for the site
  • Drive lean manufacturing, OEE improvement, and cost control across machining operations
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and customer quality requirements
  • Rebuild morale and foster engagement after recent leadership transitions
  • Champion shop-floor leadership, safety culture, and process improvement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Aerospace manufacturing leader with experience in precision machining or complex assemblies
  • Strong track record of turnaround success and performance transformation
  • Site-level P&L ownership, lean/CI methodologies, and ERP (MAPICS or similar)
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to rebuild trust and drive accountability
  • Commercial acumen and pricing strategy experience

Preferred:

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business; Master’s ideal
  • Background in mid-sized manufacturing operations (£30M+ revenue, 150+ staff)
  • Experience in global corporate environments, especially Japanese-led structures
