The Role:
Rough Trade is looking for a Marketing and Content Assistant to join our Brand and Content team. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual with strong writing and communication skills, a passion for music, and a solid understanding of social media and digital culture. You will help drive Rough Trade’s marketing and content strategy, ensuring our brand voice remains consistent and impactful across all channels.
The Marketing and Content Assistant will be the primary contact for all events marketing while also providing vital support to the Head of Brand and Content and the Marketing and Content Manager in coordinating, developing, and delivering content strategy across domestic and global markets.
What You’ll Do:
Support the development and execution of Rough Trade’s content strategy across all channels.
Act as the main contact for UK events marketing, coordinating campaigns and ensuring alignment with brand goals.
Help manage and maintain consistency across Rough Trade-owned channels, including social media platforms and the blog.
Create engaging content for Rough Trade stores, including graphics, video, and copy.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of editorial content for the Rough Trade blog.
- Work with the PPC Executive to run our influencer program, finding content creators, building good relationships, and handling outreach and how they\'re performing, whilst maintaining our brand goals and liaising with the content and paid media teams.
Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices to bring fresh ideas to the team.
Help grow Rough Trade’s online presence by increasing followers, reach, and engagement across all channels.
What We’re Looking For:
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent copywriting and communication abilities.
Knowledge of Rough Trade’s brand, tone of voice, and previous campaigns.
Proven experience creating TikTok/Reels content for brands or campaigns.
Proficiency across major social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok).
Up-to-date on emerging social media trends, formats, and audio.
A genuine passion for music and youth culture.
Independent, creative thinker with plenty of ideas.
Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking.
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop - typography, photo editing and basic layout skills a must.
Video editing skills (bonus).
Knowledge of SEO (bonus).
