About the role
Our Medtech & Life Science Broker will be responsible for advising and securing appropriate insurance coverage for clients within the Medtech & Life Sciences industry, including Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Healthcare & Clinical Research companies. This new role will involve risk assessment, policy negotiation, and client relationship management to ensure tailored insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of Medtech & Life Science businesses.
What you’ll get up to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Medtech & Life Sciences sector.
- Assess clients’ risk exposures and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on industry-specific risks such as Product Liability, Clinical Trials, & Professional Indemnity.
- Handle client queries, policy renewals, and mid-term adjustments efficiently.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential liabilities in Medtech & Life Science operations.
- Work with insurers to develop specialised coverage solutions, including bespoke wordings.
- Negotiate policy terms, coverage limits, and premiums with underwriters.
- Ensure competitive pricing and appropriate coverage for clients.
- Stay updated on emerging risks in Medtech, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Innovations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters.
About you:
- Experience in insurance broking &/or underwriting within Medtech & Life Science.
- Proven ability to negotiate with insurers and structure tailored coverage solutions.
- Excellent communication, client relationship, and advisory skills.
- Attention to detail in policy documentation and compliance matters.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance products.
- Cert CII qualification.
