Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Support Technician to join our team in the excavator tiltrotator attachment business.

This position is crucial in ensuring the success of our distributor network and end customers through expert technical support, training, and field assistance.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality service, solving technical challenges, and fostering strong relationships with our distributors and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to our network of distributors to resolve installation, maintenance, and product performance issues.
  • Offer guidance on troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical challenges.
  • Conduct training sessions for distributor technicians and customers, focusing on the installation, calibration, and operation of our tiltrotator attachments.
  • Assist on-site during initial installations to ensure proper setup and optimal performance.

Product Updates

  • Communicate and deliver technical updates, including product modifications, feature enhancements, and software updates, to the distributor network.
  • Ensure distributors are equipped with the latest technical documentation and knowledge.

Warranty & Quality Support

  • Investigate warranty claims by conducting site inspections and root cause analyses.
  • Prepare detailed reports on warranty issues and collaborate with the technical team to implement corrective actions.
  • Perform quality inspections on installations to ensure adherence to company standards and specifications.

Travel

  • Travel to distributor locations, customer sites, and training events as required (up to 80% of the time).
  • Represent the company professionally at all times during field visits.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering beneficial but not essential (equivalent work experience considered).
  • 3+ years of technical experience in construction equipment, excavator attachments, agricultural engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Physical capability to work on construction sites, including lifting tools or equipment as needed.
  • Ability to operate an excavator, training and courses available to the right candidate.
  • Provision of own tools and equipment for general mechanical and electrical work, specialist tools will be provided as required.
