Do you have experience in rotational moulding? If so, we would like to speak to you. At Rototek, we have established ourselves as a global leader in technical rotational moulding of plastics, with over 30 years of experience providing innovative rotational moulded products. We manufacture the products no one else can. Rototek employs over 100 people across 2 sites and has a current turnover in excess of £10M, with a strategic growth plan in place to support the business growth. We are seeking Production Operators for our site in Newark.

Rototek currently has 2 sites, Newark and Worksop, both in Nottinghamshire, and are part of the Gusto Group, a family-owned group of Construction and Manufacturing companies. JOB SUMMARY

To take responsibility alongside team members for the running of production machinery. This includes ensuring efficient and high quality of products, and assisting all members of staff to maintain a high standard of housekeeping.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Objectives:

  • To ensure all health and safety requirements including PPE are adhered to whilst working on site.
  • To follow order requirements, product specifications (Bill of materials), product operating instructions and other applicable documentation or information relating to the moulding operation.
  • To open product moulds, remove product, set up, and close product moulds to the required specification.
  • To handle, use product jigs, and trim or finish manufactured products to the set requirements.
  • To operate the assigned ovens to facilitate the moulding operation.
  • To locate and use any raw materials required relating to the moulding operation.
  • To ensure the required high quality of the product and production equipment is maintained during the moulding operation and subsequent finishing, handling, and storage.
  • To ensure working areas and the general factory environment is kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
  • To complete any documentation and paperwork required during the moulding operation.
  • To communicate and hand over any information to Management, Team Leaders and other members of the production team to facilitate the moulding operation.

These tasks may require operators to give training and share knowledge with other members of staff regarding the processes and procedures to facilitate the moulding operation. Due to the nature of the production environment and potential downtime between moulding operations, start up, shut down, or breakdowns, operators should be proactive to work alongside other team members to ensure the above key tasks are achieved.

Rotating shift pattern:

  • Shift 1 - 5:45am - 2pm Monday to Friday
  • Shift 2 - 9:45pm - 6am Sunday - Thursday
  • Shift 3 - 1:15pm - 10pm Monday to Thursday and 1:45pm-8pm Friday

Package Details:

  • Starting salary £13.92 per hour, paid monthly on the last working day of each month
  • 25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day after 2 full years completed service, then another day after 4 years and another day after 6 years service up to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays. Days are deducted annually from leave for a full business closure at Christmas.
  • Pension contribution is 4% employee and 3% employer.
