Following the guidance of the Regional HSE team, this person will be the driving force in implementing a zero accident safety culture and continuous improvement support to enable the growth, maturity and robustness of the certified and integrated management system in their factory location. They will have specific responsibilities as defined below and will control the HSE requirement for the introduction of new products, develop structures and analysis to improve existing and future manufacturing HSE outcomes.
- Lead and support compliance with HSE legislation and relevant ISO standards, ensuring that appropriate records are maintained to demonstrate compliance.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of procedures to meet ISO45001, ISO50001, and ISO14001 standards.
- Facilitate and support the completion of risk assessments (e.g., general risk, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, manual handling), ensuring that appropriate controls are identified and implemented.
- Coordinate internal and external H&S audits and track audit actions, ensuring that findings are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Promote understanding and integration of the HSE Management System requirements across the site, ensuring that employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities within the system.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of safe systems of work for both routine and non-routine activities, working collaboratively with operational teams.
- Support and oversee the reporting and investigation of accidents, ensuring that root causes are identified and appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
- Support team members with HSE-related guidance and contribute insights into HSE performance where relevant, in collaboration with line managers or supervisors.
- Collaborate with Operations and HSE teams to identify relevant expectations and support their integration into the new product introduction (NPI) process.
- Monitor, collate, and report on HSE performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Development and maintenance of location HSE SharePoint.
- Support stakeholder requests for HSE information, including the preparation and sharing of summaries or documentation as needed.
