Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based in Chadderton, Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced E&I systems, making key contributions to electronic circuits and board layouts for high-performance instrumentation worldwide.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team Leader and internal stakeholders to enhance our global product portfolio.
- Focus on technologies like solenoids, sensors, and integrated control hardware to impact the performance and safety of high-pressure instrumentation systems.
- Ensure the continuity and improvement of product offerings while upholding best practices.
- Provide proactive, analytical engineering input in a fast-paced environment, and engage across departments.
- Deliver effective solutions that matter to customers worldwide.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in E&I engineering, ideally within high-pressure or safety-critical systems
- Expertise in control circuits and systems, and PCB layout tools
- Skilled in CAD and electrical design software
- Knowledge of automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI)
- Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, and solenoid technology
- Proactive problem-solving with strong fault-finding abilities
- Effective communicator and team collaborator across departments
