We’re looking for a proactive Production Planner to join us on a 12 moth contract to lead the downstream supply chain, ensuring operational excellence and a seamless customer experience from order to delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Create and manage detailed production schedules that align customer demand with operational efficiency
- Raise work orders and manage MRP messages to deliver a streamlined production flow
- Monitor schedule adherence, lead times, and COTD performance to drive continuous improvement
- Own product master data and lifecycle phases in ERP, ensuring portfolio efficiency and cost control
- Coordinate recovery plans for overdue orders and communicate resolution strategies
- Reconcile the sales order book to ensure alignment across inventory, revenue, and customer expectations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build master production plans that optimize resources and shift patterns
- Manage finished goods inventory policies and engineering change requests
- Report on key supply chain metrics including OTD, inventory health, and cost drivers
- Champion lean principles and deploy planning methodologies like infinite planning, flex planning, and MPS
- Act as deputy to the Supply Chain Manager within the Rotork Management Operating System
- Coach and support team members to deepen supply chain knowledge
- Lead the SiOP process, owning demand planning and capacity alignment across a 3–18 month horizon
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or with appropriate workplace experience/qualification.
- Experience with, and sound knowledge of manufacturing supply-chain, planning and Lean methodology.
- Strong data analysis and experience with an ERP system. Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning.
- Use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point.
- Strong skills in problem solving and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve scheduling conflicts and resource constraints
- Proficient in interpreting bills of materials and configured product structures
- 6 Sigma green belt trained and/or lean equivalent. Personal Specification: Essential
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Keen eye for detail and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Agile leadership with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and be a change agent
