At Rotork, we’re embarking on a truly exciting chapter—and we’re looking for a Design Manager to help lead it. This role offers a rare opportunity to act as the Design Authority for our first Nuclear Actuator in 30 years. It’s a flagship programme that will play a key role in re-establishing our nuclear capability and strengthening our position in a highly specialised market.

As Design Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full product development lifecycle, leading the design of high-integrity electro-mechanical solutions from concept through to production. You’ll be working at the cutting edge of engineering ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver against quality, cost, and schedule targets
  • Owning the end-to-end design process, ensuring robust decision-making and adherence to critical standards
  • Translating customer and business requirements into innovative, practical design solutions
  • Ensuring products meet internal approval processes and external regulatory requirements
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to enable smooth transition into manufacture
  • Maintaining clear, proactive communication with stakeholders throughout
