We are looking for a Service Supervisor to support the delivery of a high-quality field service operation. You will be responsible for coordinating field service activities, supervising Field Service Personnel, and ensuring customer service, safety, and operational standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate field service activities, including onsite works, outages, and surveys
- Ensure service requests are acknowledged within 24 hours
- Promote and enforce health & safety standards, including safety audits
- Oversee Field Service Personnel workloads and arrange additional resources when required
- Provide technical advice to customers and support service requests by phone and email
- Review field service reports and support accurate invoicing
- Conduct customer visits to ensure satisfaction and identify new service opportunities
- Support forecasting, process improvement, and service planning
People & Team Management
- Conduct performance conversations and support team development
- Approve timesheets, expenses, and holiday requests
- Support recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes
About You
- Experience in a field service or engineering supervisory role
- Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills
- Good understanding of health & safety in a field-based environment
Qualifications
- Technical qualification in Mechanical or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Experience that is relevant and from a commercial background
- Knowledge of or capability to learn about valves, actuators and digital control systems
- IT proficient – service software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication – both written and oral
- Conscientious and self-motivated with the ability to work to deadlines with minimum supervision
- Organised/structured approach to enable a coordinated response to achieve all aspects of work demands
- An ability to deal effectively with difficult situations
- Flexible attitude to working extended hours when needed
- Willingness to progress and develop
