We’re looking for a skilled 2nd Line Security Analyst to strengthen our End User Compute (EUC) security posture. You’ll act as a key escalation point from 1st Line Support, working closely with 3rd Line Security and Infrastructure teams to identify risks, resolve vulnerabilities, and support continuous improvement across our EUC estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify and remediate vulnerabilities across laptops, desktops, VDI and mobile devices.
  • Perform regular Qualys vulnerability scans and prioritise remediation based on risk.
  • Manage patching using Microsoft Autopatch and track remediation progress.
  • Investigate EUC‑related security incidents, including malware, phishing and unauthorised access.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate security standards and support audit activities.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk and engineering teams, offering guidance on secure configuration and device hardening.
  • Support end‑user security awareness initiatives.

Qualifications

Technical – Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of EUC technologies (Windows 10/11, macOS, MDM solutions, VDI).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus).
  • Awareness of common vulnerabilities (CVE, CVSS scoring).
  • Knowledge of patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Autopatch).
  • Knowledge of antivirus and endpoint protection software (e.g., Microsoft Defender) and other tools such as Microsoft 365, Azure and Active Directory.
  • Basic understanding of networking and endpoint security principles.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).

Technical – Desired Skills

  • Experience leading vulnerability remediation projects or coordinating patch cycles.
  • Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell) for security tasks.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator, CompTIA CySA+, or similar).
  • Experience with enterprise-level security tools and integration with EUC environments.
  • Ability to mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvement.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements with security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, IASME and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Understanding of malware detection and endpoint protection solutions.
