We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Engineering Systems Analyst to join our organization in Bath, on an 18 month fixed term contract (salaried, no day rate contractors). In this role, you will be responsible for analysing complex engineering systems, identifying optimization opportunities, and ensuring efficient system performance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams to design, implement, and improve technical solutions that drive organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive systems analysis to understand technical requirements, constraints, and performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and process workflows.
- Analyse system performance data and identify areas for optimization and process improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements, define system architectures, and validate technical solutions.
- Perform system integration testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Create detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and implementation strategies.
- Monitor system performance against established benchmarks and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the development of modelling and simulation activities to evaluate system behaviour and performance.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical analysis to support decision-making.
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with technical standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in systems engineering, systems analysis, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex systems into manageable components.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and requirements analysis.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems.
- Preferred: experience with D365 CE and FO.
- Preferred: Experience with database management systems.
