Excellent opportunity opens to join an International Bank as their new SQL Server Developer. As part of a lean IT function, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the bank's Wealth and Asset Management division. You will lead break-fix implementation and take ownership of database design and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • The SQL developer will support the Wealth and Asset Management division’s multiple programs and systems including third-party applications and in-house developed systems.
  • The role involves working closely with business analysts, the infrastructure team and the business in understanding critical issues, and in implementing robust and timely break-fixes.
  • When needed they should be adept in gathering solution requirements, formulating technical designs and in implementing that design in an iterative development environment.
  • The position will focus on the Microsoft technologies the successful candidate will be expected to ‘pitch-in’ in helping progress other development requirements.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous experience designing and developing databases, tables, views, stored procedures, user defined functions, SSIS packages, and other database objects using SQL Server 2019 and above.
  • Experience in Data Extraction, Transforming and Loading (ETL) using Microsoft SQL Server tools and utilities, creating SSIS master and child packages, package configurations, logging and in using variables and expressions in packages.
  • Worked with tabular reports, matrix reports, parameterized reports using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Experience in Transact SQL / Common Runtime Language (CLR) with good software methodology/practices, using Visual Studio suite.
  • Awareness of developing in ASP.NET, C#, web services and JavaScript, with reference to how these can interface with databases.
  • Experience with concurrent development source control and continuous integration – GIT, AZDO.
  • Experience working in both waterfall and Agile development environments.
  • Experience with MS D365 CRM customisation or MS SharePoint development would be beneficial.
  • Experience developing / deploying Azure SQL solutions using Azure Data Factory and other Azure services would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrating strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working with data modeling and design tools.
