Excellent opportunity opens for a Service Desk Engineer to join a growing Bank in London. You will own the 1st line support for the bank, working closely with the CTO and supporting the technology and transformation teams. The successful candidate will have hands on experience in a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- The configuration, management, monitoring, security, troubleshooting and fault resolution of on-premise and externally hosted applications and services.
- Technical project support for applications and databases
- Creation of test plans and execution of UAT for applications and databases
- Provision of data analytics on demand
- Management of database backup, recovery, and access
- Service Desk Requests
- Provision of additional general technical support.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience of as an Service Desk Engineer (or equivalent)
- Experience managing on-premise and cloud applications, services and databases
- Good understanding of SQL
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Automation of workflows
- Understanding of data analysis and consolidation methodologies
- Understanding of cyber security and data protection including AV solutions
- Experience working on Azure Virtual Desktop and Virtual Machines
- Exposure to working within a regulated or Financial Services organisation
- SharePoint and OneDrive knowledge
- Experience of data warehouses
