Excellent opportunity opens for an experienced Project Manager to join a Challenger Bank in London.

You will be taking ownership of the delivery of a new Financial Crime solution, working closely with the delivery team, technology team and business.

The successful candidate will have a Financial Services background, experience delivery Financial Crime projects and working in an Agile methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery team to achieve their outcomes, balancing pragmatic decision making with the change governance and controls framework.
  • Manage financial, capacity and progress tracking for the delivery team, working as part of a wider workstream of similar teams, providing transparency to support the workstream lead with updates and governance needs.
  • Working with the product owner and technical lead, support the delivery team to prioritise work against the team’s stated outcomes, measure progress and manage risks towards the outcomes.
  • Support the delivery team to organise their work, identify and resolve impediments and identify and manage dependencies with other internal teams and external supplier teams.
  • Supporting our enduring team model, guiding the delivery team members through the full delivery lifecycle (from discovery to live service) for their prioritised backlog items.
  • Maintain the team focus on feedback and continual improvement, encouraging and supporting experimentation with ways of working and ensuring lessons learnt are understood and acted on.
  • Work across the bank to ensure alignment with product direction and strategic architecture and promote a secure by design mindset.
  • Manage and evolve team stakeholder relationships that are needed for successful delivery.

Experience

  • Experience of successful delivery in Financial Services, including Financial Crime processes and technology re engineering, with multi-disciplinary delivery teams
  • Experience in complex and phased project delivery including data migration, system integration and live service running
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Has the ability to build teams, strengthen relationships and establish effective networks with stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience with Atlassian or other similar planning and collaboration toolsets
  • Growth mindset and outcome focused
  • Agile and / or Project Management qualifications (desirable)
