Excellent opportunity opens for a French speaking Post Trade Senior Analyst to join a growing International Bank and work on a position focused on investigating and resolving post-trade payment queries across FX and Money Market transactions. You’ll work closely with correspondent banks and clients globally to ensure smooth settlement of MT103 payments, manage Nostro breaks, confirm incoming funds, and maintain accurate settlement instructions (SSIs), all while delivering a high standard of client service. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to complex cross-border payments across emerging markets, working with a global network of banks and stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in improving payment outcomes, producing critical internal and external reports (including unsettled trades), and using your French language skills daily in a fast‑paced, internationally focused environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Handle post‑execution payment inquiries by providing prompt and precise updates to correspondent banks and clients in various regions, utilising French and possibly Spanish when communicating.
- Produce and present unsettled trade reports, highlighting failed FX settlements to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Regularly interact with Relationship Bankers to update on progress of queries.
- Investigate Nostro account breaks and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Ensure prompt response to and resolution of incoming client queries.
- Confirm receipt of incoming client funds.
- Generate and distribute daily payment reports to relevant teams.
- Maintain records of team activity for monthly reporting.
- Set‑up and maintenance of Client Settlement Instruction.
Key Requirements
- Fluent in French & English.
- Educated to A Level standard, or similar experience.
- 3 + years experience in Payment Investigations or similar role within Banking Operations.
- Strong working knowledge of SWIFT payments and investigations, particularly MT1XX and MT2XX series.
- Prior exposure to Foreign Exchange processes and settlement flows.
- Familiarity with ISO20022 message types highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in managing relationships and resolving queries across a global network of correspondent banks and internal stakeholders.
