Excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer with 2-8 years of experience to join a top-rated bank and upskill into being a fully fledged Network Engineer in a Low Latency and High Frequency Trading environment. Ideally CCNA certified.

You will be given the ability to learn broad areas of Banking including:

  • Cisco and Arista routing and L2/L3 Switches
  • Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewall technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting across different hardware platforms
  • Market Data (Bloomberg/Refinitiv/EBS, ICAP)
  • IPC Turrets

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing voice and data network upgrades, including risk analysis, security, business analysis, development, support, and documentation of solutions
  • Integrating automated processes where relevant and appropriate
  • Managing and troubleshooting Europe office Wi-Fi (Cisco Meraki)
  • Managing and troubleshooting Europe office IPTV, AV, and meeting rooms

Knowledge and hands-on experience required:

  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco/Arista Routers and Switches, and Check Point Firewalls and proxies
  • Exposure to L2 switching/L3 routing technologies, including but not limited to: STP/MST/HSRP/VRRP/IPSec/GRE/EIGRP/OSPF/BGP
  • Experience with QoS and IPSec VPN
  • Experience with Network Management systems and technologies (SNMP, Solarwinds)

Should possess a proven background in technical infrastructure and troubleshooting, with 2+ years of Network Engineering experience. Excellent organisation and communication skills, autonomy and team working capability, with the motivation to learn new skills and keep up to date with new technologies.
