Excellent opportunity to join an international bank in a broadly skilled Desktop Engineering (1st & 2nd line) position offering autonomy and exposure to all areas of the business and C Suite.
The role covers day-to-day user support, Windows 11, Office 365, Active Directory, Intune, mobile devices, endpoint patching, vulnerability remediation and service desk ticket management. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for IT issues across email, phone and face-to-face support, ensuring users receive a professional, responsive and controlled service.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a main point of contact for incoming IT issues across email, phone and face-to-face support.
- Create, manage and resolve tickets through the service desk platform.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and business applications.
- Configure new desktop systems and install software, including Windows 11 and Office 365.
- Support Microsoft Office 365, both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Manage user administration, including Active Directory users, groups, mailbox management and O365 Exchange Admin Centre tasks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Support remote working users and end-user device access.
- Assist with endpoint patching, vulnerability remediation and device compliance.
- Support antivirus, endpoint management and security tooling.
- Manage Apple mobile devices through Intune and Apple Business Manager.
- Liaise with internal technology teams and external suppliers where required.
- Assist with hardware/software upgrades, testing and new product evaluation.
- Maintain accurate asset, licensing and CMDB information for end-user devices.
- Provide basic IT training and guidance to users where needed.

- Minimum 18 months’ experience in a desktop support, EUC, IT support or technical analyst role.
- Strong Windows 11 and Office 365 support experience.
- Experience supporting users in a professional services, banking, financial services or regulated environment would be beneficial.
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, O365 administration and mailbox management.
- Experience with Intune and mobile device management.
- Good networking knowledge, including TCP/IP.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and user issues quickly and effectively.
- Comfortable working with service desk tickets and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Microsoft certifications, such as MCSA or equivalent, would be desirable.
