Excellent opportunity opens for an ambitious Corporate Banking Relationship Manager to join a growing International Bank. This leading position offers the opportunity to work within a team on delivering and growing the Bank's expansion plan and develop current and new relationships with leading Large Cap Corporate Clients. The role will entail sourcing new business opportunities and marketing, with a focus on large cap investment grade corporate companies, participating in syndicated loans, underwriting transactions and providing value-adding solutions to clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with the Team Head to market and bring on board qualifying business opportunities with a focus on large cap investment grade corporate companies.
- Act as the first contact of the bank in building clients’ relationships, participating in syndicated loans, underwriting transactions, negotiating terms with counterparties and providing the full range of the bank’s global capabilities to the bank’s clients.
- Assist Team Head for the marketing, client meetings, preparing pitches, presentations, etc.
- Prepare credit applications, including customer credit risk analysis, business risk analysis, financial modelling and financial risk analysis to present to both UK and HO credit committees.
- Ongoing reporting & monitoring of clients, including both quarterly & annual reviews, financial covenants review, waiver request processing and overall post loan monitoring.
- Work within the Corporate Banking Team to ensure the Bank is able to develop client relationships whilst managing credit risk and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance and relevant departments for Risk Analysis, KYC, loan documentation preparation as well as other Front Office departments both in the UK and globally.
- Maintain keen interests and awareness of market trends in international business including trends and events in the UK and Global corporate banking market.
Main Requirements:
- 5 years+ experience in Banking or related Finance industry.
- Must hold a University Degree.
- Good understanding of Credit Risk and Corporate Financial Analysis.
- Understanding of the UK Large Cap Corporate Banking market.
- Good ability to understand corporate financing structures and loan documentation.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organisations and clients, whilst working under pressure, across multiple projects and to tight deadlines.
- Good team player.
- Strong technical skills and computer literacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
