Excellent opportunity opens for a Treasury Manager, to play a critical role in ensuring continuity and strong financial stewardship across the Bank’s Treasury function. You will oversee balance sheet management, liquidity, interest rate risk, and parts of the regulatory reporting while strengthening controls, governance, and documentation as the treasury team evolves.

The role will be responsible for completing and overseeing treasury regulatory returns, managing Internal Audit actions, preparing the ILAAP structure, templates and documentation for the next submission, maintaining robust governance frameworks, and ensuring Treasury remains compliant with regulatory developments. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can maintain BAU processes while driving improvements in control, documentation, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Balance Sheet & Interest Rate Risk Management
    • Monitor and analyse the Bank’s balance sheet, including assets and liabilities, identifying risks and opportunities.
    • Recommend and implement strategies to optimise funding allocation and structure within regulatory constraints.
    • Act as Secretary to the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO), coordinating meeting packs, actions, and reporting.
    • Evaluate, develop, and execute interest rate hedging strategies, including the use of derivative instruments.
    • Assess hedge effectiveness and provide reporting as part of IRRBB requirements.
  • Liquidity & Capital Management
    • Maintain and enhance the Bank’s liquidity management framework, including cash flow oversight and liquidity buffers.
    • Review short- and medium-term liquidity forecasts working closely with the liquidity analyst.
    • Lead the preparation and review of Treasury regulatory returns, including LCR, PRA110, Treasury assets, basis risk and more.
    • Support stress testing, scenario modelling, and capital planning activities.
    • Develop or refresh ILAAP related documentation, methodologies, and supporting analysis to ensure the new format fully aligns with the SDDT regulatory developments.
    • Create new reporting templates and frameworks as required by regulatory change.
  • Controls, Governance & Internal Audit Actions
    • Strengthen the overall control environment across Treasury processes, embedding robust governance and documentation.
    • Maintain up-to-date procedures for all Treasury tasks, ensuring annual reviews and version control.
    • Own and manage Internal Audit findings and action plans, ensuring timely remediation and stakeholder updates.
    • Support enhancements to risk management frameworks, 2nd LOD interactions, and policy updates.
  • Operational Excellence & Team Development
    • Enhance and automate manual Treasury processes, reducing operational risk.
    • Ensure high-quality management information is produced for senior stakeholders and committees.
    • Mentor and support the analyst, ensuring development and continuity of knowledge.
    • Work collaboratively with Product, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Essential
    • 5+ years’ experience in a regulated PRA/FCA banking or financial services environment.
    • Strong experience in liquidity risk management, regulatory reporting (including LCR/PRA110), and balance sheet management.
    • Experience in financial modelling and stress testing.
    • Ability to interpret regulatory texts, technical papers, and policy documents.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
  • Desirable
    • Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA / CIMA.
    • Experience working in a small finance/treasury function or transformation environment.
    • Familiarity with Treasury back-office systems and finance reporting tools.
