Five Arrows
Five Arrows is the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co, a business that is expected to continue to rapidly scale, and therefore this opportunity offers an exciting career path for a driven Investor Relations professional. Five Arrows manages more than €30 billion in a series of funds dedicated to corporate and secondary private equity, multi-managers funds and co-investments, as well as senior and junior credits. The Five Arrows team comprises over 260 professionals based in Europe and North America. This position is in the Corporate Private Equity (CPE) team, a business that invests in Europe and North America through a series of funds focused on the lower mid-market, mid-market and upper mid-market. In CPE, we have more than 100 investment professionals based in London, New York, Paris and San Francisco, managing over €11 billion of capital for this strategy.
This is a newly created position with the person operating at the centre of client servicing and fundraising / marketing support across a broad alternatives platform with wide-ranging responsibilities. The fast-paced nature of the role requires the candidate to have the ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritise workload. The position will report into the Head of Business Development and whilst focused in the Corporate Private Equity team, will interact with all the Five Arrows investment teams as well as with the Finance, Operations, Legal, ESG, HR and communications teams.
Responsibilities
- Materials preparation: Prepare all relevant marketing material including marketing presentations / DDQs / RFPs, PPMs, track-record information, other documentation as required.
- Ad-hoc content creation of bespoke materials and analyses in response to specific investor requests.
- Build and maintain the datarooms.
- Liaising with the compliance department regarding regular approvals on marketing materials, maintaining approval logs.
- Investor meetings co-ordination and record-keeping: Support investor due diligence meetings with investment team members and relationship managers, as required for process continuity and record-keeping.
- Oversee preparation of complex meeting schedules including roadshows and on-site investor meetings.
- Prompt response to meeting requests and perfect filing / CRM record-keeping.
- Bespoke investor follow-up communication: Ensure agreed next steps are executed promptly. Take responsibility for specific investor follow-up.
- Process Management: Assist Legal Counsel on process management of legal documentation. Oversight of investor onboarding and the administrator's KYC/AML process.
- Client Services: Work with the senior team members on continuing development of Client Services processes and infrastructure in response to LP base and organisational developments. Formal periodic reporting (quarterly reports, capital accounts / statutory fund accounts) alongside the finance team as well as ad-hoc LP information requests. Ongoing CRM management.
- Communications / Events: Prepare the annual Investor Days presentation and bi-annual LPAC materials in cooperation with the investment team and the other Five Arrows strategies (where relevant). Work alongside the Five Arrows communications manager to enhance CPE's visibility in the market.
- Mentor: Act as a mentor and give day to day oversight of more junior members of the IR team. Help to determine workload prioritisation and allocation of responsibilities.
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- University degree from a highly ranked University.
- Minimum of 8-10 years investor relations experience working for an Asset Manager, Private Equity Fund, Hedge Fund, leading International Bank, Placement Agent or Gatekeeper.
- An international background (academic or work experience).
- Fluency in English is essential; other languages are nice to have.
- Strong IT skills on Microsoft platform, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, drafting clear messaging, presentations, and communications.
- Exceptional work ethic, self-motivated and energetic self-starter who is proactive and goal orientated.
- Highly organised and methodical approach to working.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and guide teams effectively to drive results.
- Strong intellect; analytically-minded.
- Good interpersonal skills – versatile style; good listener; creative; patient.
- Excellent communicator, both orally and in written materials.
- Highly numerate; able to manipulate data and produce sound analysis with an ability to synthesise complex information.
- Drilled in 'zero defects' standards for client-ready materials.
- International mindset with experience working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
