Overview of Role

An informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A and financing solutions in the infrastructure space. We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, and governments. We design and execute strategic M&A and financing solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face. Our deep understanding of financial markets, the high volume of transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network of industry and financing specialists in 40 countries, provide clients with a comprehensive perspective to achieve their strategic goals. Our distinct perspective allows us to achieve outstanding results for our clients and act as their most trusted advisers over the long term.

Responsibilities

  • Work on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical aspects of transactions, ranging from client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction strategy and execution, for both M&A (e.g. sell side, buy side) and financing advisory (e.g. acquisition financing, refinancing (rated and unrated), project finance advisory) mandates.
  • Lead teams in the preparation of financial analyses and models required for evaluating and completing such transactions, as well as client presentations, information memoranda (both equity and debt), ratings presentations and offering documents.
  • Experienced banker who seeks to identify new business opportunities for Rothschild & Co Global Advisory and new ideas for our clients that advance their strategic objectives.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Minimum 4 to 5-year experience in the infrastructure or energy & power sector.
  • Prior experience from an M&A or debt advisory firm or from a financing role at a balance sheet bank but with exposure to M&A or debt advisory.
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills to develop financial models, debt structures and valuations with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis.
  • Proven understanding of infrastructure-like financing products and capital structures.
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership in order to build a strong team environment and to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of business, across different geographies.
  • Ability to build long-term, professional relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business.
  • Experience leading client presentations, managing projects and the execution of transactions.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
