Responsibilities

Rothschild & Co is looking to recruit a senior credit analyst to join a nine strong analyst team and support the management of a c7bn portfolio of leveraged loans and high yield bonds. The successful candidate will assist or lead new leveraged finance transactions and manage a portfolio of sector based existing credits. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior credit analyst, capable of appraising complex credit transactions, ideally with European leveraged finance or private equity experience. Other responsibilities include:

  • Credit research and market analysis
  • Report writing and presenting
  • Financial modelling
  • Transaction monitoring
  • Client relationships

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Strong report writing and presentational skills
  • Minimum of 8 years working as a Credit Analyst within leveraged finance at either a leading fund manager or investment bank, who is capable of appraising complex non-investment grade transactions.
  • Experience in restructuring and/or distressed investing would be looked upon favourably.
  • Ability to understand, appraise and analyse leveraged loan and high yield bond documentation
  • Highly numerate and quantitative, including extensive experience of financial modelling within leveraged finance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of business
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly, persuade and influence; good listening skills
  • A pro-active approach and flexible attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Enthusiasm and drive to develop skills
