The GP Solutions practice at Rothschild & Co advises financial sponsors globally on how to meet key strategic objectives via transactions at the fund- and management company-levels, including:
- Continuation vehicles and other GP-led transactions
- Fund recapitalisations and JVs
- Follow-on equity capital raises
- Financings at the fund or management company level
- Management company stake sales
- Portfolio liquidity solutions
We cover the full spectrum of alternatives across private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity and venture capital.
Overview of Role
As a Senior Analyst or Junior Associate within the GP Solutions team, the successful candidate can expect to be involved in all aspects of the practice, from transaction origination and pitching to execution and closing. The role will be fast paced and varied, working with different sector teams across the firm as well as our debt and equity advisory teams. We operate in a flat team structure and the successful candidate will be encouraged and expected to actively interact with junior and senior bankers across the firm.
Amongst other duties, the successful candidate can expect to be deeply involved in advising clients on the planning, structuring and execution of GP Solutions transactions and the formulation of critical advice. We aim to ensure our analysts and associates work on a broad range of transaction types and experience a range of sectors and geographies.
Responsibilities
- As part of the deal team, manage the day-to-day process management and coordination of transaction execution
- Maintain an organized approach to transaction execution, proactively flagging potential issues before they arise
- Support transaction origination and sourcing activities, including the preparation of marketing materials
- Ensure all marketing materials, including pitch books, are delivered to specification
- Preparation of detailed financial models and other financial analysis
Education and Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent: 2:1 or above
- FCA qualification
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Keen interest in private equity and the broader alternative asset management industry
- Self-motivated and proactive individual who can apply critical thinking to both transaction execution and origination efforts
- Strong communication skills – ability to communicate clearly as well as persuade and influence others
- Strong quantitative skills. Financial Services M&A experience and/or accounting knowledge is a plus
- Experience in M&A, transaction services or private equity is a pre-requisite
