Role

This Finance Analyst role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their career in accounting while receiving support to pursue a professional qualification. Working across both the Group Management Reporting and Group Financial Systems teams, you will contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts, assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide financial analysis and support to global heads of Group Support Functions. You will also gain exposure to SAP, the Group’s core accounting and consolidation system. This role is particularly suited to someone who wants to develop both strong financial acumen and technical capability. You will work extensively with data, financial systems and process automation, providing an ideal pathway for graduates who enjoy combining finance with data analytics, coding (e.g., Python/VBA/SQL), and problem-solving through technology. This position provides hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, combining technical accounting responsibilities with systems expertise to build a strong foundation for your future in finance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assistance with financial controlling of the group’s IT Shared Service entity
  • Assist with prepayment and fixed asset management, periodic cash flow forecasting, and preparation of management accounts.
  • Liaise with external auditors and the Group IT team in Paris regarding cost accruals and allocations.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly expense reporting to the Group Head of IT and Group CFO
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation or data-driven enhancements.
  • Maintain and manage access to the Global Service Agreement SharePoint.
  • Coordinate annual agreement renewals, update allocation keys, and manage contract updates and signings.
  • Assist with the preparation and posting of monthly group recharge journals
  • Use analytical or scripting tools (e.g., Python/VBA) to streamline recurring processes where appropriate.
  • Assist with quarterly actuals, forecasts, and budget reporting for Support Functions.
  • Identify and communicate P&L variances against budget and forecast.
  • Run intercompany reconciliation reports.
  • Upload budget and forecast recharges to the General Ledger and group consolidation system.
  • Manipulate large datasets and help enhance reporting dashboards or models used for financial analysis.
  • Review month-end submissions in the group consolidation system.
  • Prepare monthly headcount upload files for review.
  • Ensure annual group insurance premiums are communicated and paid.
  • Support changes to finance systems to ensure data is accurately configured
  • Ensure allocation of costs are correctly configured in the reporting system
  • Management of the Global Finance email distribution list.
  • Contribute to small-scale automation or efficiency projects across Group Finance.
  • Ownership of masterdata ticketing system
  • Masterdata creation (GL accounts, profit centres, etc)
  • Masterdata housekeeping tasks (GL account blocking etc)
  • Ownership of assessment/distribution cycle maintenance
  • Management of SAP data integration: GL account – Group reporting FS Items mappings SAC integration

This area offers significant systems exposure, ideal for graduates keen to build technical skills. You will help improve data structures, understand how SAP data flows work, and may use coding or analytical tools to support data validation and integration work.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with finance systems (e.g., SAP, Esker, Concur) is a plus
  • Ability to accurately review and manipulate data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn
  • A strong interest in data analytics, automation and/or technical systems.
  • Exposure to or enthusiasm for Python, VBA, SQL, or other coding/scripting languages is highly desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

Educated to degree level (2:1 or above, or equivalent) and strong A levels or equivalent. Accounting qualification is not required, but relevant experience or a demonstrable interest in finance is advantageous. Candidates with projects, coursework or extracurricular experience involving coding, analytics, or data manipulation are encouraged to apply.
