Responsibilities

  • Leading coverage on stocks relating to the sector and writing thematic research
  • Marketing of the work produced by the sector team
  • Leading client presentations on the stocks under coverage
  • Communicating, engaging, and interacting with the Sales team to disseminate work and build a client franchise
  • Creating, maintaining and updating industry models
  • Collecting and analysing new data (to support new ideas or reports) with the help of the team
  • Managing the regular flow of earnings results, news flow and model updates
  • Distributing news comments via email / Bloomberg
  • Responding to client requests for data / information
  • Attending client and company meetings, and industry conferences
  • Building relationships with companies’ investor relations teams and sector experts

Qualifications

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Good grasp of valuation metrics and value drivers of a business
  • Understanding of coding, in particular SQL and Python
  • Experience in financial reporting, modelling, and valuation of companies
  • Effective relationship building skills, willingness to engage with Salespeople and Sales Trading team, including making ad hoc presentations to them
  • Ability to demonstrate intellectual flair, independent thinking, initiative, self‑sufficiency and ambition, with a passion for equity markets

Employees must obtain and maintain certification to be employed in a controlled function under FCA rules.
