Responsibilities:
- Be an integral member of the deal team by participating in transactions, including:
- Reviewing term sheets, legal implementation and debt documents, and defining supporting analysis and arguments for negotiation purposes
- Building and analysing dynamic financial models to assess impact on company’s cashflows and evaluate stakeholder returns in various balance sheet restructuring outcomes
- Researching, analysing and following up on potential restructuring targets
- Supporting senior bankers’ marketing initiatives to deliver pitch materials to specification
Education and Qualifications:
- A level or equivalent: AAA or above
- Degree or equivalent: 2:1 or above
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required:
- Strong modelling capabilities with good experience forecasting cashflows and debt
- Familiarity with various debt instruments (bonds, loans, senior/junior/mezzanine, secured/unsecured) and understanding of the European debt market is desirable but not essential
- Solid analytical skills with high level of creativity and ability to think strategically to find solutions to complex problems
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuade and influence
- Must have ability to be proactive, persevere, overcome setbacks and deliver results and lead processes
- Ability to recognise fee-generating opportunities and identify potential restructuring targets
- Understand the drivers and valuation metrics of relevant sectors
