The Role
A compliance role with a focus on market abuse surveillance. The successful candidate will be part of a small team that is responsible for ensuring that the company has the appropriate controls and procedures in place to ensure compliance with market abuse regulation.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily market abuse surveillance, including the review and investigation of automated alerts
- Assess alerts in a timely manner, documenting findings and forming clear, reasoned conclusions
- Identify and elevate potential market abuse risks or concerns in line with internal procedures
- Support the ongoing effectiveness of the firm’s market abuse controls and monitoring frameworks
- Produce management information and trend analysis relating to surveillance activity
- Work closely with other members of the Compliance team and relevant internal stakeholders
Key skills and experience required:
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of accuracy
- Highly organised; able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Team player; able to work effectively in a team
- Knowledge of UK Market Abuse Regulation desirable
