The Scheme Transition Analyst role sits within the Transitions team at Rothesay whose core responsibilities include working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to support the scheme implementation (“onboarding”) of new clients covering all de-risking transaction types. The Scheme Transition Analyst will become involved with a new client from the point of initial due diligence and will remain involved through data cleanse to final premium adjustments and issuance of Individual Policies, if applicable.
As a Scheme Transition Analyst, you will have the opportunity to look after all aspects of new scheme transactions and be responsible for the trade implementation in-house and ongoing client relationship management with the scheme. Automation is key to long term business scalability and continued efficiency drives will ensure the team remains the go-to option for new business transactions. The work is fast paced and constantly expanding - the role presents a great opportunity to join an exciting, technical, and dynamic project-based team. This multifaceted role would suit someone who is comfortable working with data and confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support a portfolio of scheme implementations, assisting with the implementation of new business onto our in-house systems.
- Client relationship management where you will be a key point of contact for all queries and responsible for working with other teams internally to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and manage project plans ensuring that both contractual and customer commitments are delivered on time, chairing regular implementation meetings with clients and their administrators as appropriate.
- Working with large data sets and presenting findings in a clear and useable way.
- Deliver presentations and updates to internal and external stakeholders (including senior management).
- Lead or assist in developing firmwide initiatives which generate further efficiencies, both internally and to improve the client experience.
- Keep up to date with legislative, product and market changes affecting our core business and the products that Rothesay offer.
Skills and experience required:
Required
- Preferably you will have a 2:1 degree and/or experience of supporting client on-boarding projects, ideally within Financial Services so you understand the regulations and risks.
- Some experience of client relationship management would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills – familiarity with core formulas and experience of manipulating large data sets.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with external and internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to summarise and communicate complex issues.
- Demonstrate evidence of being a team player - able to help others both in and out of the team where appropriate.
Desirable
- Understanding of project, business analysis and/or software development life cycles.
- Experience in data modelling, using e.g. VBA, Python.
- Project management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively whilst monitoring deliverables and deadlines.
- Some pensions or insurance knowledge.
- Understanding of risk controls in an operational environment.
