Rotherwood Cares is currently working in partnership with a well-established nursing care provider to recruit compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants for ongoing temporary assignments. We are seeking dedicated individuals to support residents with a variety of complex care needs, including dementia, nursing care requirements, falls prevention, and enhanced observation packages. There is an immediate need for staff who can provide high-quality 1:1 support and build positive relationships with residents through consistent, person-centred care. The client places a strong emphasis on continuity and regularly block-books staff in advance, providing excellent opportunities for ongoing work and consistent shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents.
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support where required.
- Support residents living with dementia and other complex care needs.
- Promote resident dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times.
- Accurately complete care documentation and daily records.
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a care or support setting.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Reliability and commitment to delivering consistent care.
- Ability to work proactively and engage positively with residents.
- Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care principles.
- Confidence supporting individuals with dementia and complex care needs is advantageous.
Compliance Requirements
- Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain:

- Manual Handling Training.
- Safeguarding Training.
- Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training.
Available Shifts
- A variety of shifts are available across seven days per week, including:
- 12-hour shifts.
- 9-hour shifts.
