Location: Burnley and Nelson
Salary: £12.71 per hour and above depending on experience. Sleep-in rate: £55 per shift.
Hours: Flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights and sleep-ins.
Contract: Agency Bank and Casual.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months experience within health and social care.
- Previous experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of trauma informed practice.
- Confident supporting both women and children in crisis situations.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour and emotionally complex cases.
- Excellent communication and safeguarding awareness.
- Full right to work in the UK.

The Role:
You will be supporting women and children within a refuge setting who have experienced domestic abuse. This is a highly sensitive environment requiring a trauma informed and person centred approach at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing emotional and practical support to residents.
- Maintaining a safe, secure and supportive environment.
- Supporting residents to rebuild confidence and independence.
- Working in line with safeguarding policies and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Completing accurate records and incident reports.
- Supporting with daily living tasks and routines within the refuge.
- Working collaboratively with external agencies and internal teams.
