The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

Hours: Full Time and Part Time Available. Shift patterns include:

  • Morning/Lunch Shifts: 7am to 2pm
  • Afternoon/Evening Shifts: 3pm to 10pm
  • Long Days Available: 7am to 10pm

Alternative weekends can be arranged on a rota basis. Please note this service cannot accommodate school hours only availability.

About The Service: Our client is a well established domiciliary care provider supporting individuals within their own homes across Calderdale and surrounding areas. The service prides itself on delivering high quality, compassionate care and has built a strong family style culture amongst both staff and clients. They are looking for carers who genuinely want to make a difference, build trust with vulnerable people, and become part of a reliable and supportive team. This is not just a “drop in and rush out” service. The manager is looking for carers who take pride in their work, communicate well, and understand the importance of consistency, reliability, and relationship building.

The Role: As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide person centred support to individuals within their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Duties Will Include:

  • Personal care and continence support
  • Medication administration and prompting
  • Meal preparation and nutrition support
  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting with daily routines and wellbeing
  • Building positive relationships with service users and families
  • Writing and updating care notes accurately
  • Reporting concerns and changes in needs appropriately
  • Delivering care in line with safeguarding and CQC standards

Staff typically support around 7 to 8 clients per day, with a mixture of single calls and double up care visits. Where possible, carers are kept working within one local area to support continuity for both staff and clients.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle essential
  • Previous care experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently within the community
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS required

Training & Development: Paid induction and training provided. Standard induction is 4 days. Reduced 1 day induction available for candidates with fully up to date training certificates completed within the last 6 months. Opportunity to complete Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications after successful probation period. Ongoing support and development opportunities available. Please note training costs may be reclaimed should staff leave employment within the first 3 months.
